Agricultural Production Practices

Issue

Minnesota farmers have adapted and continue to adopt ever-improving production methods, techniques and technology. Not all farm families select the same production systems, but they still demonstrate on a daily basis their commitment to care for their livestock, manage and improve the quality of their soils and enhance the quality of the food and fiber they produce. The ability to voluntarily determine the best production practices that fit their operations and conditions result in sustainable futures for farm families and yield the greatest opportunities for working landscapes with a place for other ecological benefits. Farm Bureau’s actions in 2016 will promote the necessity for recognition of property rights and avoidance of negative restrictions by government agencies seeking to force their land-use agenda.
