Kristin (Campbell) Harner joined the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation as the public relations/foundation director in April 2001.

She is responsible for both internal and external communications for the organization. A primary responsibility is the production of MFBF's member publication, "The Voice of Agriculture." In addition, the team creates the county leader publication, maintains the MFBF web site and social media sites and oversees both the fundraising efforts for the Foundation and distribution of funds from it.

Prior to joining Farm Bureau, Kristin worked as the director of agricultural programs for the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce overseeing their Agri-Business Council in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. While in Wisconsin, Kristin also served on the Wisconsin Agribusiness Council and Wisconsin Agribusiness Foundation Board of Directors, as well as the Wisconsin Farm Progress Days 2000 executive committee. She served as a 4-H assistant for UW-Extension and as a tour guide for Barn Tours. Kristin has also worked for Better Baked Pizza as a product specialist, in farm management, in weed research and as a ruminant nutritionist.

Kristin received a bachelors degree in animal science from South Dakota State University with minors in agricultural business and agricultural marketing. Kristin was raised on a hog, beef and crop farm near Tracy in southwestern Minnesota. She resides near Northfield with her husband, Steve, and two sons.
