Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation Holds Golf Fundraiser
2012-07-23

The Minnesota Farm Bureau (MFB) Foundation held their annual Golf Scramble on July 17 at River Oaks Golf Course near Cottage Grove. Over $16,000 was raised with proceeds going directly to the MFB Foundation. Funds will be used for programs focused on agricultural education, safety training and leadership development.

Other MFB Foundation fundraisers include the pork chop stand at Farmfest, August 7-9, and the annual auction held at the MFB Conference on Friday, November 30.

The MFB Foundation’s mission is to provide opportunities for supporters of agriculture to invest in people and programs that promote agriculture and the environment through safety training, agricultural education and leadership training. Examples of some of the programs currently funded include: the Ag Cab Lab Tractor and Combine, Agriculture Transportation Handbook, biosecurity signs, trespass fliers, promotion and education mini grants, agriculture promotion grants and more.
