Red River Valley Agriculture Water Issues Forum

The Red River Valley Agriculture Water Issues Forum will be held July 13-15 at three separate locations: July 13 in Climax, July 14 in Glyndon and July 15 in Rothsay. The meetings will be held from 8 a.m.-Noon. These water meetings are organized by farmers with farmer's interests in mind.

Topics include: end of Minnesota legislative session update, clarifications on the Minnesota buffer law, conservation program opportunities from the Soil and Water Conservation District, agriculture in 2016 and beyond, water issues, floodwater storage in watershed management and making improvements on your farm with rainfall.

A free meal will be provided by the following sponsors: MFBF, Northwest Minnesota County Farm Bureaus, Minnesota Association of Wheat Growers, Red River Valley Sugar Beet Growers, Minnesota Agricultural Water Resource Center, Minnesota Corn Growers Association and the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association.
