Minnesota Farm Bureau Earns AFBF Recognition

During the American Farm Bureau Federation's (AFBF) 97th Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) and Farm Bureau members from Minnesota earned national recognition. Accepting the awards on January 10 was MFBF President Kevin Paap.

Awards of Excellence
As an organization, MFBF earned recognition from AFBF for offering outstanding programs for Farm Bureau members. MFBF received Awards of Excellence in all six program areas: Education and Outreach; Leadership Development; Member Services; Membership Initiatives; Policy Development and Implementation and Public Relations and Communications.

President’s Award
President’s Awards were presented to states from each membership-size group that achieved membership growth and demonstrated superiority in the Awards for Excellence categories. MFBF received recognition for Membership Initiatives and Member Services and was one of 16 states receiving the President’s Award.

Navigator Award
MFBF also received the Navigator Award for exceeding state membership growth goals and demonstrating superiority in the Awards for Excellence categories.

The AFBF Annual Meeting will continue through January 12. Farm Bureau delegates representing each state and Puerto Rico will conclude the meeting by discussing national resolutions and setting policies for the year. Nearly 60 Farm Bureau members from Minnesota are among the nearly 7,000 Farm Bureau members attending the meeting, which also features a variety of workshops, seminars and speakers.
