Young Farmers recognize leaders at Minnesota Farm Bureau Leadership Conference

Nearly 300 Farm Bureau members from across the state attended the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) Leadership Conference, January 23-24, at Treasure Island near Red Wing.

YF&R Awards

The MFBF Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) Committee presented two awards at this year’s conference.

“These awards recognize those who go above and beyond to continue to build our Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) leadership programs,” said Kristy Miron, MFBF YF&R Chair. “The Allens’ and Kevin’s investment in YF&Rs strengthen not only the program, but also the individual farmers within Farm Bureau and the communities they serve.”

The Golden Pitch Fork Award is presented to someone who is not afraid of hard work and heavy lifting. This year’s recipient of the Golden Pitchfork Award went to Keith and Morgan Allen of Goodhue County Farm Bureau and past MFBF YF&R Committee members.

The Outstanding Friend of YF&R is presented to someone who has gone above the call of duty to assist and lead YF&R into the future. This year’s recipient was Kevin Dahlman – Wright County Farm Bureau President.
