Revised Agriculture Transportation Handbook Now Available

The Minnesota Farm Bureau (MFB) Foundation in partnership with the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council, Commercial Vehicle Inspectors and Minnesota State Patrol has revised and reprinted the Agriculture Transportation Handbook with updated state and federal statutes, rules and exemptions for transporting agricultural goods on highways.

“The Agriculture Transportation Handbook is a valuable resource for Minnesota’s farmers and ranchers,” said Minnesota Farm Bureau President Kevin Paap. “Understanding state and federal transportation laws and regulations help to ensure safe transportation of agricultural goods.”

Copies of the handbook are available free of charge through the MFB Foundation. For your copy of this transportation handbook, contact Pam Dahlman at 651-768-2117 or info@fbmn.org. For an online version, go to www.fbmn.org and under Consumer Engagement click on “Ag Transportation Handbook.”

The MFB Foundation’s mission is to provide opportunities for supporters of agriculture to invest in people and programs focused on supporting active farmers and agriculturalists, better connecting agriculture to consumers and serving rural communities. Examples of some of the programs currently funded include the Ag Cab Lab, Speak for Yourself program, youth and leadership programs, agriculture promotion grants and academic scholarships.
