The Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) Committee hosted a Young Farmer BBQ at Farmfest in the Wick Buildings Farmfest Center on Tuesday, August 5.
“We are excited to partner with IDEAg as they move forward with new partnerships and new opportunities for Farmfest,” said Kelly Schmidt, MFBF YF&R chair. “Farmfest provides an ideal location and opportunity for YF&Rs from across the state to network and gather ideas to apply to their farms or ranches.”
“Young Farmers & Ranchers were able to meet with American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) President Bob Stallman and MFBF President Kevin Paap discussing issues important to us,” said Miles and Sarah Kuschel, AFBF YF&R Committee members. “It’s important that young farmers and ranchers recognize the value of being a member of Farm Bureau and the value of having an organization representing our voice on issues.”
The BBQ was sponsored by TASC AgriPlanNOW and Redwood Area Development Corporation. Entertainment was provided by Larry Donner Acoustic Show from Belview.
