National FFA Secretary to Address Minnesota FFA Alumni Conference

The Minnesota FFA Alumni Conference is set for March 1 at the Cascade Meadows Wetlands & Environmental Learning Center in Rochester. The meeting will have a variety of sessions on member engagement and leadership, as well as the annual awards banquet. FFA advisors, members, alumni and supporters are encouraged to attend.


Featured Speakers

Mitch Baker, the National FFA Secretary from Lebanon, Tennessee, will deliver leadership workshops. National officers commit to a year of service to the National FFA Organization. Each travels more than 100,000 national and international miles to interact with business and industry leaders, thousands of FFA members and teachers, corporate sponsors, government and education officials, state FFA leaders, the general public and more. Baker leads personal growth and leadership training seminars for FFA members throughout the country and helps set policies that will guide the future of FFA and promote agricultural literacy.


Shauna McReynolds formerly served on the National FFA Alumni Council as the western region representative. She has been an active member of the North Clackamas FFA Alumni in Oregon since 1998 and has served in many leadership roles, has judged local and state events, coordinates fundraising activities and chaperones and coaches her local chapter.



The Annual Conference will begin on March 1 with registration at 9 a.m. The agenda includes sessions on how alumni can support teachers, liability issues for affiliates, idea exchange, chapter members and alumni working together and more.


Workshop sessions will be conducted at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. with the awards luncheon, annual business meeting and keynote speaker at Noon. Following the luncheon, an optional tour of Cascade Meadows Wetlands & Environmental Learning Center will be offered.
