• Farmers

American farmers stand ready to meet the needs of the growing population and are dedicated to feeding you and your family. Products we use every day come from plants and animals cared for by America’s farmers.

  • Families

Farming is a tradition that has been passed down for generations. Today’s farmers are committed to preserving and enhancing this tradition for generations to come. Farm Bureau is a strong voice because of families who join this organization and come together as a unified voice for agriculture.

  • Food

Minnesota farmers ensure safe food choices for families. As farmers, our job is to provide consumers with the highest quality and healthiest food possible. Growing and raising wholesome, safe food is our goal.

Welcome to the Minnesota Farm Bureau

Farm Bureau is an organization guided and directed by our nearly 30,000 member families – teachers, farmers, community leaders, husbands, wives, parents and business owners. Each one is concerned about their children, families, communities and making Minnesota a great place to live and work.

We exist to serve members because we share the values they hold dear – hard work, love of community, passion for the land and belief rooted in faith and family. Our services, programs and benefits are rooted in the cause, concerns and needs that are important to our members based on their beliefs and values.

Upcoming Red River Valley Ag Water Issues Forums

There will be three separate Ag Water Issues Forums this year: July 15 in Hallock at the Kittson County Fairgrounds, July 16 in Ada at the Lynn Johnson Farm and July 17 in Wendell at the Brian Lacey Farm. Each forum will be from 8 a.m.-Noon.

Why attend? This water meeting is organized by farmers with farmer's interests in mind. Find out how the recently passed buffer strip legislation could impact you as a farmer or farmland owner. Other topics include drainage, flooding, water retention and quality. How this attention and inflow of new resources impact your farm will be up to you and other farmers.

Plan to attend the regional meeting that works best for you. Your attendance will make a difference. You will learn about and be able to provide input on local projects and plans for water challenges in your individual watershed as well as regional and national issues that are important to your farm.

We know farmers have good ideas and can provide valuable input on these important water issues. Together we want to make a positive impact on the tough problems and issues we all face in the Red River Watershed.

Sponsors of this event include Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation and northwest Minnesota County Farm Bureaus, Minnesota Association of Wheat Growers, Minnesota Agriculture Water Resource Center, Red River Valley Sugar Beet Growers, Minnesota Corn Growers Association and Minnesota Soybean Growers Association.
